Substance abuse assessments take approximately two hours to complete and are typically performed in an office setting. This evaluation is conducted in order to determine the seriousness of substance abuse issues and to generate treatment recommendations. The evaluation consists of clinical interviews, a drug test and the use of valid and reliable testing instruments. Substance abuse evaluations are administered to adults .
