About

Passages is a women’s community based correctional facility serving State and Federal inmates. The facility, located at 1001 South 27th Street in Billings, Montana, includes an inpatient Alcohol and Drug Treatment unit (ADT), inpatient DUI program (PARC), an intake unit that provides assessments, sanctions, and acute mental health care (ASRC) , and a pre-release (or re-entry) unit. The first clients of Passages were received January 19, 2007. Jan Begger, Chief Operating Officer and the Director of Passages oversaw the operation of the facility for 15 years prior to her retirement in June of 2022. Gina Poor is the Director of Passages and has been with the agency for 19 years, also joining Ms. Begger in opening the doors of Passages. Gina is a Licensed Addictions Counselor and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She holds a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling.
